About Sunny Socks
Sunny Socks Nursery School, Brixworth opened in 1989 in a converted stable block on Park Farm.
In 1989 the Turney family opened Sunny Socks in the stable block at Park Farm. The family's aim was to create quality childcare in a homely setting with direct access to the fields and animals around them. A driving factor in the location of the nursery was to be well away from any road to provide children with a safe, open environment where they can explore their natural surroundings.
Over the years the nursery has grown and developed and we now see some of our first children bringing their own children to us. Sunny Socks is now run by Cathy and Mark Turney, who have seen their own 4 children flourish in the fantastic environment that Sunny Socks creates.
The nursery is being constantly updated, most recently we extended the preschool room and redesigned our baby room. We have also improved our toilet facilities, developed our role play resources, created our first allotment in our garden, increased the number of parking spaces and improved the lighting in the car park as well as extended the area affectionately known as the bus stop, where children can change from their indoor shoes to their wellies.
It is the collection of these details, along with the highly qualified caring staff and fantastic setting, we believe, that make us such a wonderful nursery.
